Dorothy M. Hopey's Obituary
Dorothy M. Hopey, age 87, passed away on June 20, 2006 after a long illness with cancer. She was born on March 14, 1919 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from Minnesota School for the Deaf in 1940. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Joseph, of 60 years, 2 sons, Floyd (Debra Ho) Hopey of Kent, WA and Michael (Carol) Hopey of Spanaway, WA, and 6 grandchildren: Wesley Ho, Joshua, Matthew, Samuel, Coletta and Max Hopey. In addition, she is also survived by her sister, Virginia (Julius) Schwartz of Manhattan Beach, CA. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert and Harry Cummings.There will be public viewing from 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 30th and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 1st at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 1st, 2006 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel with burial service to follow.The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude for the excellent care and support provided by the Franciscan Hospice.Dorothy, you earned your wings while here on earth...rest in peace knowing you will be forever here in our hearts.
