Dorothy Jane Ghilarducci's Obituary
 DottieÂ' Ghilarducci, 91, was born in Twisp, Washington, November 13, 1910. She passed away November 5, 2002, in Lakewood, Washington.Approximately 85 of DottieÂ's 91 years were spent in the Tacoma area. After her early years in Twisp, Washington, her family moved to Sumner, where she subsequently graduated from high school. During her high school years she met Â"GillyÂ", who was attending Stadium High. They both attended the University of Washington, where Dottie was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Gilly and Dottie were married in 1932 and settled in Tacoma, where Gilly took over the family flower business. Its growth and eventual recognition as the areaÂ's premier floral business was in no small way due to the presence of Dottie, whose natural beauty and class never failed to enhance her surroundings.Dottie was a very proud Charter member of the Tacoma Orthopedic Guild #10 and a longtime member of The Little Church On The Prairie.Dottie was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Bud Sprouse, and her sister Dode Millard, all of Mt. Vernon, Washington. DorothyÂ's husband, L.R. Ghilarducci (Gilly) died in 1984 and her son, George F. Ghilarducci, in 1989. She leaves behind her sons Larry (Ann) and Joe (Carolyn), of Lakewood, daughter-in-law Ellen (Bernie) Camin of Whidbey Island, and grandchildren Dana (Brian) Gaume, Vicki (Ken) Kalapus, Jane (Kevin) Aldridge, Paul (Jill) Ghilarducci, Joe (Kim) Ghilarducci, Rena (Kyle) Osakoda, Emily (Tim Panzer) Ghilarducci, all of the Tacoma area, and John (Denise) Ghilarducci, of Kirkland, and George (Kelly) Ghilarducci, of Austin, Texas. Additionally, Dottie is survived by her sister-in-law, Clara Sprouse, many nieces and nephews, and twelve great-grandchildren.There will be a memorial service Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 2:00 pm, at The Little Church On The Prairie. A reception will follow at the Tacoma County & Golf Club, where she was a 50-year plus member.
