My very best to Dottie's children and grandchildren, who will miss a very warm and outgoing human being.
During my high school and college undergraduate years I used to mow Dottie's lawn and help her with her yard work. We frequently talked about the value of a good education. That was over 35 years ago. She was always willing to give some wise advise to this young man, who struggled at times in deciding what to do with his life. I eventually spent over 25 years working as a professional diplomat with the U.S. Dept of State. I regret not having talked to her in recent years. She was a wonderful neighbor, always sharing her love of life with others.##imported-begin##Jim Halmo##imported-end##
I remember your Mother's beauty and gracious manner when I first met her in your home some time during the early 40's. I was impressed by her warmth, her style even at a very young age. It is always too soon to loose your Mother.

Elsa and I read of Dorothy's passing in our latest TNT. I have many memories of good times on Interlaaken Drive, of trying to stay out of the way of "the stichers", and of great friendship and respect over more than 55 years. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and we wish that we could be in Tacoma on the 12th. I'm sure that Elsa will write more.
With warm regards,
