Baerbel, Ulla, and my husband feel terribly bad about your loss. I know how hard it is to lose your Mommy. Ulla and I think back on the good old times and the laughs we shared with Dorothy in the Tacoma Bar & Grill. I learned a lot about how to be nice and to be kind to everybody. She was a great teacher with a certain touch and charm. Say Ã¢â‚¬Å“HelloÃ¢â‚¬Â to Ã¢â‚¬Å“Big DaddyÃ¢â‚¬Â and let him know we are extremely sad. This would have been posted sooner, but we only found out from Mike today. I know, Deanie, you are a strong person with the character to endure these difficult times. To All Who Loved Aunt Dorothy,

Life is for living and Aunt Dorothy lived well. All we have now are the memories of her in our hearts and minds. Each have their own story of how her life had an affect on them. She and Uncle Vaughn had a giant impact on my life when I was young. Her convictions about life were lived out and I was impacted by them. Hard work, discipline, boundaries, overcoming adversity, vision for growth, customer service, love for parents & family, commitment to excellence. Now these might not seem important to some in talking about the life of Aunt Dorothy, but to a young boy who needed a little extra stability in his life, they were an incredible building block in his foundation. I will be forever grateful to the life she lived her on earth. She now lives on in eternity, reunited with those she loved, who had gone before her. One day we will all be together again, but for now we are to care for those she loved here on earth. Our prayer are with Uncle Vaughn, Junior, Donna & Gary, Deanie and Taylor. Each of us have a choice to live for ourselves or live outside ourselves for others. Thank you Aunt Dorothy for showing us the better way.

Vaughn, Deanie, Donna & Taylor:
I am so sorry for your loss! Working for Dr. Lindstrom, is when I first met Dorothy. She was a special woman, who had so much energy for life, loved her family and had a great gift for cooking. Taylor was the light of her life and I would get to hear all about him & how he was doing in school & golf, when she came in the office. She was so very proud of him! I remember once, years ago, she invited me to come down to the restaurant. I needed some relationship advice and she told me the story of her and Vaughn, and told me that if things were meant to be, then everything would work out. She was so kind and caring and had so much wisdom to share. She was a great friend, and at times, felt like a second mother. She meant so much to me. Your lives are forever changed but she is with our heavenly father. No more doctors... but the ultimate healing. I know you will miss her immensely. It has been 6 1/2 years since my own mother passed away. I have walked in your shoes. She lives on in all of you. I'm sure you have so many memories that you cherish in your hearts. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I remember going to the Hob Nob Cafe as a little girl with my grandma (Annette, Dorothy's sister) and getting French Dip sandwiches and seeing Aunt Dorothy while she was working. I alwyays felt like a big girl when I ate those. Aunt Dorothy was a sweet and kind person and loved by everyone.##imported-begin##Tina Wood##imported-end##
