My fondest memories, as a child was spending time at the Blake’s house whether on Fort Lewis or Lakewood, there was always laughter, joy, scolding, and great food! Aunt Dot was the person to go to if you needed sound advice it resulted in disaster if you didn'ttake heed). She was always there to lend a loving hand regardless of who you were family, friends, or strangers. I remember experiencing Mt. St. Helen’s volcano with her in Pullman (1980), when she came up with her choir. It was an experience that tied our hearts together forever. Her faith in Jesus Christ was real and lived out. Her honesty, humility, and love are a testament to the one she served.
I know she is in glory with the Father beholding the face of Jesus Christ. Aunt Dot, you will be missed. With Joy in your home going!
