My name is LeRoy Maxey and I wish to offer my heartfelt sadness and my condolences to the family in the passing of Don. I first met Don, in the Air Force, when we were stationed at Misawa Air Base in Japan in the early 1970’s. He was a wonderful friend, always ready to help others and the guy everyone wanted at gatherings and events. We were stationed together, again, at Kelly Air Base in San Antonio, Texas. From there I separated from the Air Force and Don continued his service but we stayed in contact. Through the years our telephone conversations were always great and his words of encouragement were always welcomed and cherished. I will miss him greatly. God bless you, Barbara and your family.
