Donald Tucker's Obituary
On June 10, 2025, the world lost a man who never knew the meaning of “off the clock.” Donald Tucker, born on January 1, 1955, built his life around hard work, perseverance, and a knack for turning every spare moment into something productive. Whether he was fine-tuning machinery at Boeing for over 30 years or tackling odd jobs at home, Don was a man in constant motion—never idle, never complacent.
A proud graduate of Clover Park High School in 1973, Don wasted no time carving his path in the workforce. He spent decades shaping metal and making friends at Boeing, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him. A true craftsman, he approached each task with precision, whether it was on the factory floor or fixing up something around the house.
Beyond his tireless work ethic, Don was a man of simple joys. Basketball was his passion, and no team held his heart like the Seattle Super Sonics. He cheered, debated, and reminisced about the Sonics long after their final game in Seattle, keeping their spirit alive in conversations with friends and family.
In his later years, Don became a pioneer in the field of cardiology, undergoing a groundbreaking procedure at the University of Washington that was anything but routine. His strength, resilience, and willingness to embrace medical innovation will leave an enduring legacy. The picture that you see was taken before his surgery, capturing his spirit before he embarked on his courageous journey. Deepest thanks go to the University of Washington Medical Center and Boeing for the compassion and support they showed him throughout his life.
Don is survived by his devoted sister Gwen Crocram, his half-brother Marquez Tucker, and his father Carlton B. Tucker. He now reunites with his mother, Jacqueline Tucker, who preceded him in death. While he may have finally put down his tools, his work—both in the factory and in the lives he touched—will stand the test of time.
Don Tucker worked hard, lived fully, and never let a moment go to waste. May his legacy remind us to pour ourselves into our passions, make time for the people who matter, and always keep moving forward.
