A kind a generous family, the Medleys. I was raised across the street from United Auto, although we just called it Medley's. When I was a little girl, I would set up a lemonade stand in the field next to the road, right across the street from the entrance. There was little to no traffic on 96th back in those days...gravel trucks going back and forth to the gravel yard next door and the guys and customers at the wrecking yard. I did just fine due to the generosity of the Medleys and especially, Art, one of the workers. I charged a nickel a cup but they would just empty their pockets of any change! They made the day of the poor little girl across the street and probably never knew how much that money meant to her and her family. My deepest condolences on your loss. This world has lost one of the good guys....I pray Heaven has fast cars and great racetracks for you, Don!
