Diane was an incredible friend and I thought we would grow old together. I miss her so much. She adored her boys and she was so proud of them. She loved her sisters and brother and I loved hearing the childhood stories. We grew up together at Green River and of course Dick Barclay was our mentor. Oh the good old days. We spent many an evening at the Grape Adventure and thank you Brett for chauffeuring us safely home. Our many trips to the beaches, New Orleans, New York, to name a few are sweet memories I will cherish always. I'm sure Diane is blazing the trail and will have heaven all figured out by the time I get there!

I went to school with Diane from kindergarten through high school. When her mom passed away I entered a condolence note similar to this one to remember her mom. Diane replied with an email and we've stayed in touch over the years. I am so sad to read that she passed away. She was a lovely woman and a good friend. My sympathy to her family. Doug Rix

A brick has been donated in Diane's memory to the Lummi Island Library. The engraved brick will be built into a wall in the new reading garden. Diane's brick will read: "Diane Lynn Lorenzo Martin Soaring With Eagles". Donated with love.
