Derick D. Sandifer, 52, of Graham, Washington, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025. Born in Macon, Georgia, on May 5, 1973, Derick lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength.
A proud veteran, Derick retired from the United States Army and the National Guard after an honorable career that took him to many theaters around the world. His commitment to his country and fellow service members was unwavering, and he carried the values of discipline, loyalty, and courage into every aspect of his life.
Following his military service, Derick transitioned into civilian life as a warehouse manager for a logistics firm, where he continued to demonstrate leadership, reliability, and a strong work ethic. His colleagues respected him for his integrity and his calm, steady presence.
Beyond his professional life, Derick found joy in the moments he shared with family and friends. He was most proud of his children and loved attending any activity they were involved in, taking great pride in supporting and celebrating them. He enjoyed going to the driving range, traveling with his family, spending time in Oregon, and cherished family game nights—where he was known as an amazing spades partner.
Derick was known for his strength and commitment, qualities that defined him both in his service and in his devotion to his family. He will be remembered for his deep sense of duty, his humor, and the kindness he showed to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and resilience that will not be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Lisa; children Isaiah, Aliliana, Alyssa, and Brielle; parents Johnnie and Terry Sandifer; sister Ebony Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Crowel and sister Yolanda Sandifer.
