Although I never spent time with Cousin Dennis, I was always aware of his love and devotion to his family, Sarah, Dennis Jr., and Alice. His photos and comments on FB told a story of a dedicated man, who against the odds of illness and age, never gave up on humor, connection to his peers, passion for a cause, and love. He set an example for me in several ways and I will remember him as I always have, as someone with courage. We share the same middle name, Wayne, which I have named my daughter and even thought the distance in miles was between our families, a cousin is to be treasured. I was very worried when I read news in FB about his hospitalization. However I am glad for Dennis that he will not suffer. He is in the hands of God, whom I know, has welcomed him. My thoughts and prayers are for his family in this most difficult passage in life.

One of my favorite memories goes way back to me as a kid and Denny giving me rides on his motorcycle. He was a mentor and hero to many, including me. You will be missed but we also know you are in a much better place. Thoughts and prayers go out to Sarah, Dennis II and Alice. RIP
