Dennis M. Finnegan's Obituary
Dennis Mark Finnegan was born on June 19, 1957 in Santa Monica, California and passed away on January 13, 2020 in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 62.
Dennis had attended Central Washington University, and worked at Tacoma Rubber Stamp for 38 years, he was active with Teamsters, and shop steward for decades. Dennis was very close to the employees of TRS and they were like family to him.
Dennis was a bit of a daredevil and loved to have fun! He had had numerous motorcycles over the years, and when he was younger he loved to snow ski, but most of all he loved fishing, the Raiders. boating, loud music, parties, and was very passionate about our cat, Boots!
Dennis had an extremely kind heart and was generous of his spirit and time. He was quick to smile and always, always made everyone laugh! I have never met anyone as easy going as Dennis. It was a common statement in our family and circle of friends, that "Everybody loved Dennis" this couldn't have been truer. My father has always referred to him as "My Dennis"!
Dennis is survived by his wife of 20 years Julie Finnegan, his two sons Derrick (Cori) Finnegan, Dustin Finnegan, his grandchildren Kiera and Kaysen, his sister Kathy (Gerry) He also loved his nieces and nephews, Natasha, Nadine, Joey and his California cousins Joan, John and Jeff, all of which he had many adventures with.
Thank-you to the Doctors and staff at Tacoma General Hospital, all of which showed great compassion and care for Dennis. And because of Dennis’s generosity, he was able to save the sight of two men in California.
I also thank everyone else for the kind words and support you have given to me!
We all loved Dennis, the void he leaves in all of our hearts will never be filled. Dennis will be missed.
Goodbye my friend and husband, I will always love you.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will be at a later date
