I first met Dennis when I was a chaplain for the Tacoma Police Department...sometime around 1972 or so. He was in the hospital and I went to visit him. There I also met Jane. We found that we lived only a few blocks from each other in NE Tacoma where our church was.
That began a long time, many years friendship. We boated with them on the Snuggle Bunny, traveled with them on Christmas outings, enjoyed their company and developed that life-long...to this day friendship.
It was my privilege on many occasions to visit Dennis in the Hospital, pray with him, offer him comfort in his illness and share my faith with him.
He retired from the Department, got hired on as a Baliff in Superior Court, then as a JA in Judge Stone's court room. He later offered to job share with my wife Judi. She was hired and our friendship was deepened as they shared a job together.
We counted Dennis and Jane as good friends over our life time.
God give you peace Dennis!
