Deanna Lee Marsh's Obituary
Deanna Marsh, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born on September 24, 1953, Deanna was a lifelong resident of Tacoma, Washington, graduating from Stadium High School. Working as a nurses aid, she spent the early part of her career at Tacoma General Hospital, where her caring nature touched many lives. In the latter part of her working life, she found renewed joy working alongside her family at Kidz Kaboodle, where she made many fond memories.
Deanna was a devoted mother to her daughter, Breanna Marsh, and grandson Jacob. She shared an especially close and loving bond with her granddaughter, Taylor Marsh. Taylor was the joy of her heart, and the time they spent together, taking care of one another, was among Deanna’s greatest treasures. Debbie, their little dog, long time companion and bringer of joy, sadly passed away earlier this year as well.
Deanna is also survived by her sisters, Sandy (& James) Young and Cindy Hughes; her many nieces and nephews; and her dear cousins, with whom she shared lifelong connections and fond memories. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maude Marsh; her brother, Bob Marsh; and her brother-in-law, Bob Hughes.
Deanna will be remembered for her perseverance, as well as her kind and thoughtful spirit. Even as her health declined, she pushed forward and was always there to offer a listening ear, a helping hand, or a warm smile to those around her. She found great joy in baking for her loved ones - especially during the holidays - and her sweet treats were heartfelt expressions of love.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Deanna's memory to an animal abuse or rescue charity, as this was close to her heart and she was a diligent supporter.
