I met Mr. Fays shortly after he set out on an adventure with his daughter Tara to Indiana for new opportunities and work. He made sure to find his family a good, local, independent, Bible-preaching church before bringing the rest of the family to the area. I remember him being easy to talk with and a good listener; his amazing doodles while our families played board games; his independent spirit that allowed him to be his own boss and his intelligence and creativity that allowed him to pick up and do so many things well like play the piano by ear. I have a fuzzy memory of him playing a song he had written in a style similar to "The Entertainer," a fun, relaxed sort of tune. I remember how happy he was when Ms. Virginia, Whitney and Jared rejoined him and Tara after the transition to Indiana and him beaming and saying how much he had missed his bride. He was loved dearly and respected by his family because he gave them much love and respect. I know they carry his memory and all he gave with them, and I look forward to seeing him reunited with them again in Heaven some day.
