David E. Parks' Obituary
David’s love for his family, country, and God will be held in the hearts of those who knew him. Born in Buchanan, Michigan and raised in Shell Lake, Wisconsin he later retired from the US Air Force and devoted 20 years to the United States Postal Service. David was proud to have served his country and was a dedicated husband of 54 years and a loving father. David’s time in the air force allowed him to travel the world visiting both the North and South poles and many countries in between. While in New Zealand in 1961, he met and married Patricia with whom he shared the rest of his life with. Later, his tour in Thailand would give him an understanding of the perils of war and the importance of patriotism. He learned to have the utmost respect for his country and our soldiers and veterans of today. Although known to be stubborn from time to time, he will always be remembered for his kind and gentle ways with animals and people alike. Survived by his wife Patricia, his daughter Lisa, and grandchildren Steven, Kevin, and Robyn Daily. A special thank you to Franciscan Hospice. Services will be help at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent on Thursday, March 31st at 2 PM.
