Uncle Dave, Bert and I remember when you came to New Zealand and stayed with us. We had a lot of fun and many a laugh.. You had such a wonderful sense of humour. You sure were passionate about your American Football.All your New Zealand relatives will remember you with love. What a great man. Wished we could have spent more time with you. You have been a wonderful Husband and Father and of course Grandfather.

My Uncle Dave was a sweet, wonderful teddy bear of a man! I was so fortunate to have spent two years living nearby in Washington when my sons were little. We visited Pat and Dave often and Dave would always point to Mount Rainier and say to my 4 year old son, Chris, "There's that old Mount Rainier" but my son thought he was saying "mountaineer" so every time he would see the mountain he would say to me, there's that old mountaineer!...

You will live forever in our hearts and memories dear sweet uncle! Rest in blessed peace!

Dave was my closest friend for the last 35 years. Miss him very much. He was definitely one of the good type. Some of the best memories was fishing on American Lake, & especially Alder Lake, and the time we caught a 30 # salmon on Commencement Bay off Owens Beach. I hooked it, but Bily May landed it with Dave cheering us on. The ggod old days. Wally
