Hey nanny, I’m sorry it’s been so long since I wrote you.
Life has been, I don’t even know where to start, but not the most awesome the last 3-4 years.
My dad passed...on your birthday, in 2018 which I’m sure you know. It was hard, really hard, I know he wasn’t the best parent growing up but he was an amazing grandpa and loved my girls so much. Chad was officially diagnosed with brain cancer on April 1st last year ( of all days, right?) he had surgery mid march to remove the tumor which was the size of a large lemon (7cm by 6 cm) they told us at that appt that this disease would eventually take his life and they expect that to happen within 2-4 years... 2-4 years.That means my kids will lose their dad at the ages of 6-8, 10-12 & 12-14, It’s not okay. It’s so hard some days. I just think, why us?! My babies need their daddy. He was doing relatively well until he had a seizure October 27th. He is now on seizure Medicine as well as his monthly chemo. He’s still doing pretty good, just not 100% him, if you can understand that.
My youngest, kaylee ( we call her Keebs) she reminds me so much of you nanny! She has this classic beauty about her with her dark hair and gorgeous green eyes. She may look like chads mini but she’s all you to me. Then Lilly bean, she loves all things that has to do with her hair and makeup.. always wanting to get into my makeup. She’s so beautiful and smart, just like you were and doesn’t even know it.
Izzy... her due date was just days before your birthday and I wanted so bad for her to wait to come. But she came two weeks early on may 25th, she is absolutely obsessed with wolves and collects everything just like you did. I love this about her so much because it reminds me of you every day.
We drove past your resting place a week ago and I’ve wanted to stop and bring Keebs to meet you, but I’ts been so hard with everything going on to stay strong and I didn’t want to break down in front of all of them.
We’re going to come see you this Sunday nanny. I love you and miss you so much! I hope you know how much, please watch over my family, till we meet again Nanny noo noo.

hi, nanny, this is haley. i haven’t written to you in twelve years and a lot has changed since then. i graduated high school last year and i’m going to college! i think i want to be a teacher but i change my mind constantly so we’ll see. michelle is actually in college to become a teacher as well and nicole has a third baby now, she’s four! her and chad got married and she ended up having three girls just like mom. mom and dad FINALLY bought a house a few years ago and overall, things have been going good. we all miss you like crazy. mom and i just spent a few hours talking about a lot of things and she told me some great stories about you. i really wish i would’ve gotten to spend more time with you and gotten to know you more when i was younger. i miss you so much, nanny but i know you’re in a better place now and you’re with uncle jerry. i think about you all the time and i’ll never stop. i hope you’re watching over me and i hope you’re proud of me. i love you so so much, nanny noo noo.

I remember Darlene Allison - she lived 3 or 4 block from me. I lived at 306 East 31st .St. I grew up with Jerry Keister (neighborhood only) i didnt get involved in the other stuff. Hi nanny its me nikki i just wanted to tell you i miss you so much and i wish you were here to see little izzy. Nanny she is so beautiful you would be so proud of her she is almost 14 months now and getting huge she was born May 25th at 1:03 p.m. and she was 6 pounds 15 ounces and 18 1/4 inches long.She walks and says momma and dadda and so many other things, i brought her to meet you a few months ago. She doesnt look too much like me but she looks alot like mom and chad . Mom found one of your old dolls thats in a basket and it plays music and she gave it izzy, it's in her room and she falls asleep to the music every night. I just wanted to tell you im pregnant again and chad and i plan to get married before this baby is born we have our own house now we moved into a week after izzy was born. We are hoping for a little boy this time, my due date is January 10th. I hope this baby doesnt come early like izzy cuz it might be born on christmas then. BEENIE! What a shock when your grandaughter called me. You just gave up didn't you---you said before I left, "I don't know what I will do without my Beenie"! I told you I would call you often, and I did. I am glad we got to talk when I was living at the Motel. I called you after I moved here, but no answer. You were my best friend for 10 years, after we met at Marlene's. You were there for me when John passed. We always had a good time together shopping, going here and there and to movies. We went to see the Passion of the Christ together. We also went to cartoon movies. We were just overgrown kids! So many good times, but at least you are not so lonesome and depressed any more. We both had Jerry sons, and you knew my daughter's husband Jack Foley. All of my family loved you and we can hardly believe you are gone. You were so much fun and so very smart. My Jerry loved to give you a bad time, and you gave him one back. We miss you and will always remember what a good friend you were. We had many long talks about everything. Darlene, I've known you since I was a teenager, in the 70's, when Mike and Kim were dating. Nanny it seems like yesterday that me and all your other grandkids would argue over who gets to stay the weekend with you.We were all so very close growing up we spent every holiday together. From easter egg hunts in your backyard or dressing up in that crazy witch outfit and going trick-or-treating with us all. I have so many memories of you that i will cherish for the rest of my life. Hi mom this is your "bossy the cow" again. I want you to know how very much I love you and miss you. Kim and I were just talking about that time that we drove around your neighborhood honking and whistling and waving at people and how much fun we had seeing them all smile and wave back and the time that we went to pick up dave from work when I was pregnant with haley and everyone got into a spitball fight in my van we had so much fun.
