Daniel John Watson's Obituary
It is with great regret and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of MSgt. Daniel John Watson USAF (Ret). On August 18th, 2021 at his home in Lakewood, Washington our dear friend left us to be once again with his father and brother.
Born to Dennis and Irene Watson in Long Island, New York on February 20th, 1963. Dan was no stranger to fun, adventure, mischief or…detailed organization.
Long Island served as the leap point to Dan's 23 years of honorable service to the United States Air Force. Retiring from the 446th Maintenance Squadron at McChord AFB, Washington (JBLM). A natural leader, mentor and a keen attention to detail. His military career saw service supporting global operations such as Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. Post Retirement he Dan continued to support Airmen and Soldiers of JBLM through the Pierce Military and Business Alliance (PMBA). He dedicated many hours to provide the men, women, and families of JBLM with moral support, welfare and recognition.
Near and dear to Dan's heart was the Special Olympics of Washington. He spent countless hours every year supporting the athletes in their accomplishment as their smiles fueled his enthusiasm.
Dan was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He loved organization, irreverence, entertaining and spending time with those he loved making unforgettable memories. He will be greatly missed.
His is survived by his mother Irene Watson, sister Debbie Marge (Ronald), nieces Emily and Elizabeth. Proceeded in death by his father Dennis and brother Shawn.
