As a Board Member of the Pierce Military and Business Alliance (PMBA), I was honored to work with Dan on various committees. Dan served with distinction both as a Board Member and as President of PMBA and he ensured PMBA was well represented wherever he visited and/or spoke on behalf of PMBA. Dan was the kind of person who never stopped caring and worked tirelessly to bring all PMBA projects to fruition. We of PMBA share with Dan a final salute for a job very well done! He will be missed and we'll always be grateful that we got to know him. Dan cared about Airmen and Soldiers to the very end!!

Dan worked tirelessly to honor my father, who he considered to be a true friend and airman. I cannot thank Dan enough for his dedication to the project and ultimately, because of Dan, my father’s name will be forever remembered at McChord AFB (JBLM). He will be missed.

Dan & I shared a love for Arby's chocolate shakes. When I planned to go to Arby's I always asked Dan if he wanted me to pick up a shake for him as I was going to get something for Walt anyway. Dan would sometimes stop by to see how things were going with us. We use to chat about his condition and treatments. I always felt bad for him when he was having bad effects from the treatments. But he was strong, and seemed to push threw. He was one tough guy. A couple of times I would give him a hug, just to let him know I cared. I think it would catch him off guard. He was a very caring person and I'm sure he will be missed.

I was so sad to hear of Dan's passing. He was a very caring person. During the time my husband, Walt, was sick, he always found time to stop by to check on me and to see how Walt was doing, and at the same time I always asked him how he was doing. We shared a love of Arby's shakes.
