Daetron Antonio Franco's Obituary
On November 3rd, 2024, Daetron Antonio Franco was suddenly and tragically taken from our family, just weeks before his birthday. Daetron came into our world 23 years ago on November 22nd, 2000 in Tacoma, Washington. From then on, our lives would be forever changed for the better.
After Daetron graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2019, he set his sights towards entering a program to obtain his CDL license. He was ready to hit the open road, in both a literal and metaphorical sense. He was eager to start a life of his own, and was looking forward to supporting his loved ones. Basketball was one of his biggest passions, having played on his fair share of teams in his younger years, as well as being a devoted fan of the Boston Celtics.
Daetron’s devotion to his family defined him and informed much of his life. He would frequently support his grandmother, from assisting with her errands to simply being a listening ear. He was his mother's firstborn, a true reflection of the best parts of her. Like a lighthouse, his heart helped her power through the roughest waters. His bond with each of his siblings was unique, intentional, and above all else, stronger than steel. If you were blessed enough to be considered a friend of Daetron's, you were considered family. He was a grandson, a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, a friend, and an inspiration to us all.
He wore a tattoo which contained his favorite prayer, the serenity prayer. It reads as follows: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.” His absence is immense.
