Corrinne Engle Dysart
Our loving Mom and Grandmother passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 86 in Lacey, Washington.
Corrinne was born September 28, 1930 in Tacoma, Washington to Lawrence and Isabel Engle. She grew up on Lake Louise in Lakewood, WA. She graduated from Clover Park High School in 1948 and College of Puget Sound in 1952. She also was a charter member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority at the College of Puget Sound.
She married Benjamin B. Dysart on December 17, 1955 and raised three children on Bainbridge Island passing on her love for animals and the outdoors. Corrinne was an ardent gardener, Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader, enthusiastic Mariner and Husky fan, and avid bridge player. She loved the beach, fishing, and made the best clams on the half shell. She loved her dogs- Smokey, Joey, Buttons, Bonnie, Brandy, McTavish and her cat Pogo.
Corrinne retired as a banker from Bank of America in Seattle. After 37 years on Bainbridge Island she moved to Steilacoom to be closer to her children and then eventually to Panorama City in Lacey.
Corrinne was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Dysart; infant daughter, Laura; parents Lawrence and Isabel Engle; brother Lawrence Engle and sister Mary Lou Engle.
Left behind to remember are her three children; Lynne Kuntz, Steve (Sherri) Dysart and Marilou (Dale) Wheeler; 7 awesome grandchildren; Camille Dysart (Colorado Springs), Collin Dysart (Shelton), Karl, Kathryn, and Rose Wheeler (Boone, North Carolina), Amy and Aaron Kuntz (Lakewood) and two nephews Charles and David Engle, and one niece Beth Engle.
A Memorial Service for Corrinne will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 in the Garden Chapel. Inurnment and a reception to immediately follow in the Oak Room at the Celebration of Life Center, Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood.
