Clifford David "Cliff" Welch
"Onward & Upwards"
Born April 13, 1930 in Bend, OR. Passed away peacefully May 6, 2017 with his family at his bedside. He was the only child of Minor and Mae Bell Welch. Cliff was a veteran of the Korean War and served in Okinawa where he was an Army security agent and served as a De-Coder with "Outstanding Performance." Cliff married the love of his life, Beverley, in Fort Devens, MA in 1952. Cliff was part owner of Commercial Brake & Clutch since 1968 and enjoyed helping many customers which soon became close friends. If Cliff liked you, you were a friend for life. He had a huge heart and would do anything for the people that needed his help and expertise.
He is survived by his son David Welch (Denise); daughter Debby and his precious Pomeranian's Tyler & Kylie whom remain in his home with family; Cliff remained close with his cousin Lorraine in Stockton, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Graydon & Janice Russell; and special friend Shirley Solomon of Centraila, WA. Cliff had 4 grandchildren Kenneth Ferguson, Jennifer Welch (Janet), Christopher Welch (Jennifer), Rachel Hines (Thomas) and 9 great-grandchildren.
No words could ever describe the enormous impact Cliff had on others, his knowledge of Brake & Clutch systems is legendary and will be missed by many. He loved troubleshooting problems for his many customers and his expertise was sought State wide and beyond.
We will celebrate Cliffs life on Friday 1:00 PM May 12, 2017 in the Aspen Chapel with Interment and a Reception to immediately follow at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood. Bring your funny stories of this wonderful man.
