I have been thinking of "Papa Claude" all day. Yesterday was our 31st wedding anniversary. Last year we planned a little trip but came right back home because we needed to be near him & the family. Yesterday we returned from the same destination, a very prayerful place called, The Grotto in Portland, OR. I thought of Papa Claude & how everyone, especially my mom (Lora) must be feeling as the one year mark is upon us. The gardens at the Grotto are beautiful & peaceful. I try to imagine which one of the lovely statues, displays or gardens Claude would've liked to have painted. I know he is in the real garden of life now. Such a kind & humorous man is so deserving of the everlasting love God offers us. To everyone that loved Claude, honor his memory by being the best person you can be. (P.S. As I type this, I am very cozy wrapped up in one of Papa Claude's big furry bathrobes !! ) Love to everyone, Katrina

I cannot think of a Man as wonderful as Claude was....Kind and Gental..never judging...always loving...He was the Pitney of what a Human should be like...I remember running around the house as a kid....back then I couldn't place the reason it was so comfortable there...today I no it was the warmth he had for all his kids and how much fun he was...to all there friends...To Know Him Is To Love Him...I have not seen him lately...but have chatted with him on Facebook....You expect someone of his age...to be a little slower...not Claude...I should commit on something he wrote...or him on something I wrote...and immiditly get a response..mostly very funny.. He will be dearly missed. my heart goes out to Cheril.Nancy and Patty.....Be thinking and praying for you all....Marilyn Giseburt Miller ( Lynn)

Claude or Papa Claude as we called him was full of life. His grin, that would turn into a giggle, then a laugh was contagious. His integrity, faithfulness, honor and love of family is unheard of in these times. Anyone who knew him loved him. This is a man that lived his life by example. No judgements no lectures just a clear cut example of how one should live their life to be remembered with love and smiles. I love you Papa Claude and thank you for your warmth and love throughout the years. You are an inspiration on how to be a better person, Luv u! Wendy
