Christopher Scott Green's Obituary
Christopher Scott Green
November 19, 1968 – October 16, 2025
Christopher Scott Green, known as Scott, had heart surgery on October 13, 2025. His body fought hard to recover. He was scheduled to come off the sedation and ventilator on October 16, 2025 but instead he went home to be with Jesus. Scott was 56 years old.
Scott was born in Pomona, CA to Royce and Pam Green. He grew up in Southern California. Earned a BS in Business Administration: Marketing. Worked in the grocery business industry, holding many different positions for over 35 years. His most recent job was working at Haggen Grocery Store in Lakeland Hills for the past 7 years. He held many different titles there, currently he was the Starbucks Manager, which I believe was his favorite, not only did he get to work with people but he got to work with coffee! Although, his first cup of coffee for the day always had to come from Express-O-Yourself in town, where he always claimed to be their first ever customer.
Scott loved Jesus, his family & friends, being a G-Pop - his name for grandpa, coffee, motorcycles, and being a Knight. He called everyone “Bro” even the granddaughters. He would often ask “What’s really going on?” and if you were worried or concerned about something he would say “It’s all good, God’s got this.”
In June of 2025 Scott and Katie traveled to Ireland where he was officially Knighted by the Knights Templar International Order. He was so excited and humbled to accept this honor. Other organizations Scott was an active member of were the Enumclaw Historical Museum, he was a Republican Party Precinct Committee Officer, and an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous (almost 10 years sober and willing to share his journey to help others). He also loved The Angel Wings Foundation in Washington and proudly wore his Angel Wings shirts so people would inquire and he could share about their mission.
Scott moved to Washington and married his first wife, Brenda in 1997. They had two daughters, Lauren and Audrey. Tragically, Brenda passed away after a battle with cancer in the spring of 2003. Scott and Katie met in the fall of 2003, through a mutual friend and got married in the summer of 2004. His family of three became a family of six as he welcomed son, Garrett, daughter, Rachel, and wife, Katie into his family. Scott and Katie were married for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife, Katie, children Audrey Green (Garrett Reed), Lauren Green (Jordan Fernandez), Rachel Johnsen (Austin & granddaughters Amelia and Sophie), and Garrett Patterson (Emma), mother Pam Green, sister Marlys Arnold (David), parents in-law Roland & Linda Purdy, brother-in-law James Purdy, and nephew Nathaniel Purdy (Manayia). He was preceded in death by Brenda Green (his first wife) and Royce Green (father).
