Christian D. Wilson's Obituary
On June 16, 2016, our greatest hero, Christian DeSantis "Chris" Wilson passed into the hands of our Lord. Born December 7, 1967 in Syracuse, NY, Chris served as a Trooper with the Washington State Patrol. After graduating college, Chris joined the United States Air Force. He was based in Victorville, CA, and later met the love of his life, Chaundra Tollefsrud while they were vacationing in California. Soon after, Chris transferred to McCord Air Force Base in Puyallup, WA. After a three month courtship, Chris and Chaundra were married, bought a house, and began their life together.
Chris spent his life dedicated to public service. First in the US Air Force as a Surgical Technician, later at Good Samaritan Hospital as an EMT, as a member of the Washington State Honor Guard, and as a Trooper with the Washington State Patrol. He had a servants heart. He loved and served his country. He loved and served his State. He saved many lives. He loved his Mom and Dad. And he really, really loved his family, especially his wife Chaundra and his two boys, Connor and Cooper Wilson.
Chris's life can never be summarized in a paragraph, or two, or even a book. Etched forever in the hands of time are some of the greatest memories ever. Whether fishing on the river, camping on the lake, or hiking in the woods, Chris made the sun shine brighter and the days longer. He was the friend you always wished you had. He was our best friend and will forever be missed. Chris is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Chaundra Wilson; his two boys, Connor and Cooper Wilson; his parents, James R. Wilson Sr. and Kathleen D. Wilson; brothers Robert Wilson, James "JR" (Kate) Wilson Jr. and Dan (Revon) Wilson; sister Alaina (Jarrod) Togias, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Valley Chapel in Lakewood, Monday, June 20, 2016, 12:00PM. Family and friends kindly invited.
