Offering sincere condolences. I do not know the family but I too have lost a close loved one due to cancer. What has helped me is the promise God holds out in His word the Bible of a time in the very near future when sickness (Isaiah 33:24) death (1Cor. 15:26) and tears caused by pain and sadness (Rev. 21:4,5) will be done away with.
