Sorry to hear about your mom. Though, it's been a very long time since I've seen her, I remember in particular how much fun we had playing poker on that boat trip to Ketron Island. I had two "unbeatable hands" that I lost to her in one night. Not even four of a kind was a winner. That trip got me hooked on cruising, and led to literally hundreds of trips of my own.
