Carson F. Eller's Obituary
Carson Finley Eller, 85, of Gig Harbor, Washington, died August 9, 2018 of complications from dementia. Carson was born September 3, 1932 in Vilas, North Carolina, the middle of three sons. He served four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War stationed at Fairchild Airforce Base in Spokane, Washington. He was honorably discharged in 1954 and returned to North Carolina to attend Appalachian State College in Boone when he met Linda Townsend of Valle Cruces, North Carolina, whom he married May 18, 1957. They had one daughter, Kimberly G. Eller (Toal), and divorced in 1990. Carson earned his law degree from Gonzaga University in 1961 before joining the FBI in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania where he served from 1961 to 1963. He and Linda returned to Washington, settling in Tacoma where Carson practiced civil law for over 30 years. He was an avid private pilot flying fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, and later in life enjoyed golfing, and working on his Fox Island property. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly, of Fox Island, and his brother, Joe Harold Eller, of Boone, North Carolina.
