To Cara's family. I want you to know that I knew and loved Cara. I met her in high school and then met up with her years later in college. We kept good contact for years and then somehow lost contact. She had a wonderfully big heart and I was saddened to hear that she has left us. I only wish I had looked her up sooner. When I first arrived at Remuda Ranch I was greeted by a cheery sweet woman who told me I would be her room mate. I am deeply saddend by the passing of our beloved Cara, I tried to remember the other day how many times she came over to give me a hug, there was no number to count. She was a tender spirit and showed that side of herself to everyone she knew. We fought the same disease but Cara was always there to listen, and comfort, while going through the difficult process of treatment. I met Cara last year while at Remuda Ranch. She was an amazing woman full of beauty and grace. She wore her heart on her sleeve and her cheery smile could turn anyone’s frown upside down. No matter what was bothering her she was always there to lift up others in time of need, whether it was with her big open arms or her words of wisdom. Cara always showered me with her unending love and encouragement. I will never forget her contagious laughter and goofy antics. Cara was always a great inspiration to me and even with her death she continues to be. Cara I love you and miss you.
