Byron Nordgren's Obituary
Byron Nordgren, 79, of Lakewood Washington, was surrounded by his three children, granddaughter, and a compassionate care team at the Hospice House when he passed peacefully on November 29, 2017. He was born in San Francisco, California to Robert and Faye Nordgren, the youngest child of three, with an older half-sister Rosemary and half-brother Clark.
Byron was a craftsman by trade, repurposing and beautifying homes was his specialty. His favorite pastimes were fishing, auto trading and “tinkering” in the garage. He was a strong man, with a soft heart for those in need. While he will be dearly missed, he has joined his wife Cecilia.
Byron is survived by his children Elizabeth Gagliardi, Byron Nordgren (wife Kim), Tanya Nordgren, Melody Lay, adopted son John Nordgren, stepchildren – Bobby, Cathy and Cecilia, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Special thanks to the care teams at St Clair Hospital in Lakewood and Franciscan Hospice House in University Place for the compassionate end of life care and support. And thank you Mountain View Memorial Park team, for all your support with the funeral arrangements.
Please honor the life and memory of Byron by leaving cherished memories, messages, and photos for his family on the tribute wall.
