Brenda Lee Buckner's Obituary
Brenda Lee Avilla Nelson Buckner, 61, of Lakewood, Washington passed away April 12, 2020. Born September 4, 1958 in Auburn California to Gerald Roy Avilla and Joyce Renee Hanson.
Brenda is survived by her father Gerald, twin brother Brett, son Wesley and wife Lily, son Randy and wife Michelle who blessed Brenda with a granddaughter Cora, and her partner Mark.
This past Easter Sunday she suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.
Brenda was known to be a very kind woman with a huge heart always sacrificing herself to put other people first. She was always willing to help anyone in any way she could never asking for anything in return. On Easter Sunday in the midst of a state wide lockdown Brenda was planning to visit her sons, their wives, and granddaughter and deliver Easter baskets that she had made for everyone.
Brenda never let anything bring her down and made the best she could out of any situation. Once on vacation in Hawaii she wanted to hike to a waterfall. When the car parked the rain began to come down hard and heavy. Brenda would not let that stop her from hiking to the top of the mountain to see that waterfall despite the protests of her sons.
Brenda loved animals especially dogs and butterflies. At one time Brenda had a small pet sitting company. One of our hopes is that when she arrived in heaven her dogs Cassie, Magic, Racer, Ziggy, Chuckers, and Archer were there to great her with puppy kisses.
A small private viewing will be held Friday April 17, 2020 at Mountain View Funeral home in Lakewood, Washington at 2pm.
A memorial and celebration of the life of Brenda will be scheduled at a later date.
