I hardly remember my life without Gene in it. I think I was only about 4 or 5 when Gene started dating my big sister Bonnie. He even saved me from electrocution when I was maybe 6 or so and somehow managed to get into a fenced electric station. I am not sure how he got me out but he did and I think I scared him and everyone else very badly. Sorry Gene but thank you! Gene always made me feel welcomed into his home and I loved it when he would give me a little kiss on the cheek and call me "baby sister". Thank you Gene for playing all of Momma's Don Williams albums when I would visit because you knew I would enjoy hearing them. Gene always loved Bonnie and it is hard to imagine one without the other. I will miss you greatly big brother. My heart goes out to my sister and to all of their children and grandchildren. Oh and by the way Gene, you threw me over your shoulder on Momma and Daddy's back porch, I did not trip. LOL Love you Gene!
Thank you Uncle Gene for loving my Aunt Bonnie for almost 65 years! We were so blessed to have you as part of our family! We will miss you but know you are an angel watching over us now! Much love to the Rawls family❤️
Hugs, Stacey
Oh how my Uncle Gene was ornery. He was so much fun my favorite on dads side. I loved him dearly. Aunt Bonnie you two were the best and I love you so very much.
Love to you all. Uncle Gene always made sure I had cheese hotdogs when I came to visit and taught me how to play 31. He always called me his "Buckeye" in that awesome southern accent. I miss that smile. I send you all hugs.
