Bonnie Ann Kisbye's Obituary
Bonnie Anne Kisbye-Ingram died peacefully in her home state of Washington on February 5th at 80 years old. Bonnie was born in Everett, WA, to Edward & Marianne McPike.
She was the baby of the family with two doting older brothers, James (Jim) & Terry McPike. Bonnie lived in Ocean Park, WA, with her husband, Edward Ingram, and their dog, Buttons.
Bonnie grew up in West Seattle and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1961. Although she eventually moved out of the Seattle area, West Seattle always held a special place in her heart. Bonnie worked for the Port of Seattle Police Department for over 25 years, as well as the Enumclaw and Bonney Lake Departments.
Bonnie had an unwavering loyalty to those she loved. She lovingly raised two daughters and was an active and constant presence as a grandmother to her many grandchildren.
Bonnie will be remembered for her dedication to her family, quick wit, and sense of adventure. Bonnie and her husband, Edward Ingram, traveled the world in their years together, from Amsterdam to Greece to the wilds of Alaska, and she had the stories (and the collectible silver spoons) to show for it. When she wasn’t cruising, she could be found enjoying her time at home, usually with Perry Mason or Murder She Wrote on in the background. Bonnie loved to play games and was the current backgammon champion when she passed away, which she would absolutely love. Bonnie loved her cocker spaniels (the late Benji, Murray, and, most recently, Buttons). All of Bonnie’s cocker spaniels were loyal to her and could always be found right next to her. Bonnie’s family liked to tease her about how much she spoiled those dogs, but she wouldn’t have had any other way.
It’s impossible to sum up someone so well-loved in a few paragraphs. Bonnie had a great sense of humor, loved to dance, enjoyed family dinners, and the ocean, and knew how to tell a good story. She hated snakes and swore she’d find out which one of the grandkids scared her with a plastic rattlesnake. Her laugh and her dedication to those she held dear added immeasurably to the lives of those around her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and thought of often.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Ingram; her two daughters, Margo Dahlen-Swift and her husband, Mark Swift, Janie Dahlen-Moses; and her stepdaughter, Janie Ingram-Chamberlin and her husband, Curt Chamberlin, and stepson Jim Ingram, also eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
