Aunt Bert and my Mom (Irene) were very close, now they are together again with their parents, sisters and brothers. Everytime I see a butterfly I think of my mom and now when I see two butterflys I will think of the two of them together. I have never been close to my father Jim's. Family however Aunt Bert was one of the few we stayed and spent time with when we were in Tacoma. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Bert was a great part of my past. She openly welcomed me anytime.

We spoke on the phone quite often until 10 years ago. There was no reason we lost touch - just life.

When I think of Aunt Bert I smile with a lifetime of memories, from family gatherings, picnics, putting up tents in the rain at the beach or a simple midnight snack of toast and coco, she always made life fun.
