Bernice Pearl Streich's Obituary
Bernice Pearl Streich passed away June 25, 2009 surrounded by her family. She was born in Grant County, Washington on July 16, 1920, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA in 1937. Bernice was a loving mother of 5 children, Ron (Kari) Streich, Wayne (LaRen) Streich, Christine (Steve) Fisher, John (Karen) Streich, and Tracy Streich. She was preceded in death by her son Tracy Streich, her husband of 52 years, Reinhold Streich, and her beloved sister Inez Craig. Bernice had many adventures with her husband, including homesteading in Homer, Alaska, and then moving back to Washington to raise her family. She and her husband owned and operated Lakebay Marina, Fairharbor Marina, and Streich Brothers, Inc. Bernice was an avid seamstress and antique jewelry collector. The last 10 years of her life were spent at Village Green in Federal Way. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life, and she will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Sunday and Monday, and a service will be held Tuesday, June 30th, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Valley Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd., Lakewood, WA.
