Barbara Louise Bushnell's Obituary
Barbara was born July 3, 1939 in Tacoma WA to Helen Ekberg Haines and Minard Haines. She grew up in Tacoma and attended Stadium High School (1957), and the University of Puget Sound before marrying Richard Bushnell in 1961 and moving to Torrance, California. They raised their daughter there, and in 1988 Richard and Barbara moved to Vancouver, WA to be closer to family.She loved animals, creative pursuits, mystery novels, gardening, her family and pets.She passed on Friday, January 6, 2006 at the age of 66 at a Vancouver, WA. hospice as a result of cancer.She is survived by her husband, Richard, a daughter, Carolyn, son-in-law, Alex and granddaughter Alyssa; her brother Robert, sister-in-law Martha, neice Jennifer, her husband Jason and 4 1/2 month old grand-niece Morgan; neice Emily, and several cousins. Private services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers please either make a donation in her name to your local animal shelter, or adopt an older cat in need of a home from your local shelter.
