Barbara Jean (Bell) Harris
Barbara Jean (Bell) Harris, of Oakville, WA, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2020. Barbara was born March 7, 1936 in Riverside, CA, to Charles and Faye Bell. Barbara is survived by her husband of 28 years, William Harris, son, Michael Waight, daughter, Cynthia Phillips, son, John Waight, sister Marilynn Nix, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was a woman of many talents. She was a beautician by trade, but dabbled in many business ventures, including owning a few of her own beauty shops. She earned her AA degree while studying Geology and Art at Tacoma Community College. Her passion for art ranged from drawing, painting, crafting, crocheting, and photography, and she had a talent for all of it. She was actively involved in the Eastern Star and the Methodist Church, where she was able to utilize her artistic talents to help others.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Her family meant the world to her and she loved being with them as often as she could.
She will be laid to rest with her parents at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, WA on Saturday July 11, 2020.
