Born June 10, 1947 in Long Branch, NJ and passed away June 19, 2009 in St Peters Hospital in Olympia, WA.
Barbara was a missionary Society member and past member of the senior choir at Miles Memorial Church, A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Pan Hellenic Council, She was also a 20 year Red Cross Station Manager.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Thomas, sons Darnell of Memphis, TN and James of London England, daughter Monica of Mt Sterling KY, sisters, Glorya Donnell (Arthur) of Tacoma, WA, and Denise Love (Dewain) of Willingboro NJ, brother Jonathan Rhodes of East Ruthford NJ, sister-in-law, Nana Williams (Arthur) of Paris, KY, granddaughter Oceania and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, including special cousin Madeline Emmons and many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and William Rhodes, a brother Vincent Taylor and sister Lucille Royster.
Viewing 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, June 27 at Miles Memorial Church, CME, 1601 South L Street, Tacoma, WA with funeral services following.
