Dear J,
Dear Family,
HERZLICHE BEILEID AFFECTIONATE SYMPATHY
To all of you, our sympathy. God has her in his hands. Be at peace.
We are happy that Barbara spent time with us in Germany. Konrad talks about her serving in our Children's Church - preparing and serving the treats. Barbara collected elephants and I always exchanged unusual ones with her that I found on the local economy. Yes, I can still remember her joy with a pillow elephant that I gave her. I always am able to tell about my most precious glittering, favorite elephant brooch. Barbara said her sister gets the credit for this piece of jewelery. I talked to Barb when she was in Virgina and several times when she and J got back to Washington. Barbara almost always kept in touch via the emails, even if only a short line or so. I have photos of Barb and J at our April 5th, 25th anniversary in Quiedesbach, Germany in 2005. J., hold on to the thoughts and love Barbara had between you two. She always spoke so lovingly of you. She spent her time as a Red Cross worker, even in the war zone of Afghanistan. Both of you were often separated. This will be most different. You have so many joys and memories. Your friends and friends of Barbara will fill you with happiness. Keep in touch with us. I will try to call you from time to time. Konrad sends his sympathy and greetings.
Love, Isabel & Konrad##imported-begin##Isabel & Konrad##imported-end##

To my friend Jay, and family I am truly saddened by your loss. Barbara was a friend and I loved her like a sister and you Jay like a brother. I think of both of you as family. Love, Peace, and Soul. "Love", she was, "Peace",you felt so warm and safe when you were around her, and "Soul" which God felt it was time to bring her home to rest. I love your family and words can play only a small part of my shock and sadness I am feeling. Love you and her. She will be truly missed. God bless.##imported-begin##Lavell (STICKMAN) Whitten##imported-end##
