I tried to call Autie earlier this week and didn't receive a call back so knew something was up. I'm a manager at the City of Bremerton and Autie provided excellent service to Bremerton as a NACE Inspector for our steel reservoirs since 2014. We had projects most years so I saw him during most summers for the past 10 years, the last project ending in October 2024. After discussing project stuff, our conversations would often veer towards sports, Seahawks, the Mariners, and old time athletes from the 1970s and 1980s (we're about the same age). We had great conversations, and I will certainly miss seeing him. Bummer that he was not able to see the Mariner's playoff run this year. RIP Autie...thanks for the service and good memories.

Autie was a great friend who helped me greatly in both my life and career. If it weren’t for his big heart and generosity, I wouldn’t be where I am today. He was not only a mentor but also a true friend who always encouraged me to be better. I will never forget everything he did for me and my family.

Autie was like a walking sports almanac—I loved calling him to talk about sports, especially boxing. I will truly miss him and will forever cherish those moments.

My deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. May you rest in peace, my friend.
