Moe Howarth was my father-in-law. He was one of the best, most loving, most generous people I have ever known. I realize that his generosity has affected my life in the most profound way. In his generosity, he gave the gift of parenthood to 3 little children who needed a father, when he adopted them as his own. One of them, Terri, would grow up to become the love of my life. The gift of Terri gave me the gift of my 3 children, who I am extremely proud of, as well as my 2 wonderful grandsons. I have had the pleasure of knowing the Howarth family and being welcomed into it as if I was born into it. None of that would have existed if he hadn't given of himself to be a daddy to Terri. That is how generosity multiplies itself over time, and this act, and all the wonderful things that have happened to me as a result, will stay with me forever.

My condolences on the death of Moe. I knew him and Meliss at St. Joseph-St. John Episcopal Church. The comment about his smile struck me as being so true. He was quiet, but friendly and had a great smile. Maureen Smallwood
