Our family's matriarch passed from this world on Palm Sunday March 20, 2016 at 84 years old. Born abroad in Cerpas, Latvia on April 16, 1931, she was a survivor of the Second World War. Aria created a new life, immigrating here in Read Obituary

It's been a long year since you left us. I've thought of you and missed your voice daily. Spring is already here again, the daffodils have begun to bloom. Going into "our" garden without you has been, and will be, a continued challenge. I don't think anyone has ever been missed more than you, if I could only hear your voice once again...

Grandma, my heart is breaking. I'm so proud to have been your granddaughter. You have been my hero for as long as i can remember. So many lessons that you taught me have carried me through my life. There will never be a day i wont miss you or long to hear your voice. Rest now grandma, i know you and all our family in heaven are watching over us and smiling.
A long life well lived is a blessing that we all have been able to take part in. She now is free of all earthly trials. We will see each other again. Mom, you will be thought of and missed daily by the many lives you have touched.

I am lost for words and my heart goes out to everyone in the family. Aria was my babysitter about almost 50 years ago and I grew up with her children. She was one of my favorite memories of growing up in our neighborhood. I have thought of her often throughout the years with a smile. Indeed I do remember the Raspberry jam she made, had many a wonderful sandwich with that on it. Thank you Aria for having been so loving, giving & thoughtful.
