Archie Martin Solatka's Obituary
Archie M. Solatka, born November 11, 1921, passed into the hands of the Lord on October 9, 2010. Archie was born in Chicago, Illinois to John and Julia and was the 2nd oldest. He married Phyllis LeDuc in 1945 in Glenwood, Illinois. He was preceded in death by Phyllis in 1973. He is survived by sons Michael (Diane) and grandson Eric, Stephen (Deborah), and Thomas (Kris). He enjoyed cards, bowling, fishing, and hunting excursions. Archie served as a crew member on a B24 Liberator during WWII. After the war he was stationed in Japan, England, Italy, Iceland, and Alaska. The family settled in Lakewood in 1962 as Archie retired from active duty as a Master Sergeant. He moved to Patriot's Landing in 2005 and enjoyed the residents, staff, cribbage and bridge! There will be a memorial celebration at Patriot's Landing in DuPont on Monday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m.
