To Archie's family....we were saddened to hear of Archie's passing. So very kind of you to send us the obit and nice note, Deborah. We really appreciated it. My parents, Lee and Bill Tveter were great friends of Arch and Phyllis. They had lots of good times together.(I worked at Mtn View some summers when in high school, and got to know the 'crew' there. We all had such fun...sounds funny, but it was true. A great staff there at the time.
In later years we enjoyed seeing Arch now and then at Capital Place in Olympia.(Lee also lived there) He liked "the Little Creek Casino", as did Lee! We met them for dinner a few times. Arch was always the gentleman.
I still remember my father, who was a strict disciplinarian himself, feeling a bit sorry for
'the boys'...as a dad Arch made sure everything was PERFECT when the "boys" were assigned a job...clean the garage, make the bed, etc The SARGE came out in him!!! Mary Wallace was also a good friend...and a Mtn View employee....I presume you let her know, as well. They were all such great friends. As WE are now the seniors...a new chapter opens.
A blessing to know that Arch and Phyllis and Lee and my dad are probably all playing cards with St Peter!!!! And having a great time. Such a comfort to know where they are and that we'll see them again.
Bless you all and again, thank you, Deborah, for taking time to send the information and write the lovely note......you are a sweetheart. God bless!##imported-begin##Bob and Arlene Jacobson##imported-end##
