Scot Horton
To me, he was always Mr. Berthelson. Even though he would always say, "call me Andy", my respect for him made that casual address towards him feel unsuitable. It was through my friendship with his son Steve that I met the Berthelson clan. Warm, friendly, gregarious people, that instantly made you feel at home in their home. I remember Mr. Berthelson as a constant tinkerer in retirement, he always had a project underway. Whether it was rebuilding and restoring a 1965 Vespa motor scooter, or inventing and building a new contraption to solve a problem he had encountered, he was always moving and thinking. An intelligent man with a lively sense of humor, he will be missed by so many, I feel lucky to be one of those that will miss him. My love and good thoughts to Mrs. Berthelson and the entire family.
