I met Andrea only a few years ago, although I have known her name a long time since she was a cousin of my mom's. I reached out to her to meet up, and she invited me to lunch at the Tacoma Country Club. She was kind, generous, and funny. She also shared about our family history, how she barely remembered her dad John Brinsmead who was killed in action during the Korean War. She was named after her grandmother Andrea who was born in Norway.
