Anastasia (Anne) V. DonahueAnastasia (Anne) V. Donahue passed away on December 27, 2003, in Tacoma, Washington.She was born on August 21, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Anna Price and Frank Pereira.Anne was a graduate of Fort Steilacoom Community College and The Evergreen State College.Anne was a WAC in the U.S. Army 1950 - 1951. She was married in San Luis Obispo on November 11, 1951, to the late Major John H. Donahue.Anne worked for 25 years in the Civil Service for the U.S. Army and retired from her last position in Ft. Lewis, Washington, for U.S. Army ROTC. She worked for the Pierce County Sheriff YES team for several years. Anne also worked at the Puyallup Tribal Treatment Center as a CDS3 for many years. She loved helping people and felt this work was her calling.She is survived by her brother Bill Toner of Ozone Park, New York, her daughter Veronica Donahue of Roy, her granddaughter Stasi, her daughter Ramona Marino of Kirkland, and her grandchildren Sara, Rachel and Aimee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family living in New York and Florida.Thank you to Dr. James Foss and his staff for the years of love and wonderful care to Mom. A special thanks to the Roy Police and Fire Department, who worked so hard to help Mom, to the ER night staff at St. Clare Hospital, who worked so hard to save Mom and treated her with such care and respect, and to the Chaplin who helped when she passed. We are very grateful.Thank you to MomÂ's other family especially General (Ret.) Charles and Ellie Gordon, and at the Puyallup Tribal Treatment Center: Shirley, Aloma, Beth, Leo, Brett and Kathy. Your friendship meant a great deal to Mom Â- thank you.Mom, thank you for helping me raise Stasi. I could have never done it without you. Nanny you are our rock and our anchor.You will be greatly missed.A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 6, 2003, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 10508 112th St SW, Lakewood. Rosary will be held the same day from 10:30 AM until service time at St. John Bosco. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM, Monday, January 5, at Mountain View Funeral Home.
