My Aunt Alma Guizzetti was such an amazing woman, so elegant and her red hair always styled so nicely, she always looked so beautiful.
I will remember mostly her kindness to me and her advice; that will always be appreciated. Dear Aunt Alma, I am not sure what I thought-that you would always be here yet I know that is not possible. I saw how you took very good care of your family. I saw how you beat diabetes with exercise and eating right, I saw how you brought your family to the Guizzetti reunions to celebrate family. I saw how you and your family came to our parents’ restaurant, and we got to play with our cousins--we had so much fun playing hide & go seek & just getting together. You were always so calm, so kind to us. I remember when we visited your farm and you showed us the chickens and the eggs. (I wondered if Ginny, Joe & Steve ever got tired of eating eggs. I imagined they ate eggs for breakfast, lunch & dinner. :) Yet as an adult, I treasured the times that you and Joe and my parents and we went out together to dance. (not that Roy and I could ever keep up with anyone of you—wow, the stamina! the energy), but it was fun & we loved spending time with you! I remember you made every family gathering more fun—we appreciated you so much! Then too, I saw you when in grief still that kind person, seeing how cold it was outside and sending someone to get me so I would be warm inside—I was amazed & inspired at how exceptionally kind and thoughtful you were. Dear Aunt Alma, even though you're not here with us physically, your spirit will always be in our hearts. We didn't lose you, heaven gained an angel. Thank you for always being a source of love and wisdom in my life—I'm so grateful to have had you as my aunt.
