Allyn Wesley Oakes Jr.'s Obituary
Allyn Wesley Oakes Jr. passed away peacefully on May 2nd at home with his family by his side.
Allyn was born in Raymond, Washington on April 21, 1936. As a child, his family moved to Tacoma, where he spent the rest of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother Rose, father Allyn Sr, Sister LaWauna, and beloved niece Betty.
He graduated from Lincoln High School and worked at Boeing for over forty years.
He enjoyed moose hunting in Alaska, as well as salmon fishing with family & friends in West Port. He loved going to Mariners games and cheering in the Seahawks and the Kraken. He also enjoyed music and went to many live shows. He was always up for a visit to the mall to spend time with his mall family of dear friends.
Allyn will be remembered for his kind, cheerful demeanor. He never had a bad word to say and he never complained. He carried himself with grace and dignity and will be dearly missed
